FREE Friday Tasting, Specials, and New Items!

From 1pm-6pm on Friday, July 13th, we’ll be tasting the 2011 Piantaferro Falanghina, from the Campania region of Italy (north of Naples), and the 2011 Chateau Des Chapelains Clairet, from Bordeaux, France. This wine is sort of a hybrid in the Bordeaux region, somewhere between a rose and a red, as it spends more time on the skins than a rose, but less time than a red. Some people prefer to drink it cold, while other like it best at room temperature, but either way, it’s a versatile wine for the warmer summer days. Wines will be discounted during the tasting as well!

We are also running a special right now on a couple of bottles of wine from Argentina. We have both the Las Lajas Malbec, as well as the Las Lajas Torrontes. We brought in the Malbec fairly recently and it’s been quite popular, so we thought we’d add the Torrontes to the line-up too. Individually, they are priced at $8.99/bottle, but if you buy at least 2-bottles of either one (feel free to mix-and-match), it brings the bottle cost down to $7.99/bottle! So, you can buy 2-bottles of Las Lajas Malbec, or 2-bottles of Las Lajas Torrontes, or 1-bottle of each to get the discounted pricing of $7.99/bottle. You can certainly buy more than 2-bottles of Las Lajas and the discount will apply. (This offer can not be combined with other discounts.)

We have added numerous selections to inventory this week, including the 2-wines that we’ll be tasting tomorrow. We’ve also added another French rose, a Sancerre, from the Loire Valley of France, a value-priced red blend from Montsant, Spain, and several others. In addition, we’ve also added a couple of new beer selections, including the Stone Smoked Vanilla Bean Porter, and Firestone Walker’s Wookey Jack (limited release), classified as a black ale, but for all intents and purposes, a black IPA. Definitely limited quantities on these 2-beers, so if you’re interested, don’t wait to pick yours up once these beers arrive on Friday!

Thank you for shopping at Wines Off Wynkoop, and please let us know how we can better serve you!
