On Wednesday, August 1st, all domestic red wine will be 15% off for our “When You Buy-2 Wednesdays” Sale, when you buy at least 2-bottles of domestic red wine!

On Friday, July 27th, from 1pm-6pm, we’ll have the following bottles open for our FREE Friday Tasting:

2010 Il Campo Bianco (White), from the Marche region of Italy. This wine used to be priced at $13.99, but we are now able to offer it at $7.99/bottle!

2009 Artiola Red, from the Montsant region of Spain. This is a red blend of 34% Grenache, 33% Carignan, and 33% Tempranillo.

We look forward to seeing you on Friday afternoon!

When you buy 2-or more bottles of domestic white wine on Wednesday, July 25th, you will save 15% off all domestic white wine!

Stock up on cool domestic white wines this Wednesday, including Denver’s own Infinite Monkey Theorem, at a 15% discount, in preparation for all the hot summer days still ahead.

(Sorry, but the bottle of 2008 IMT Chardonnay pictured was pulled from our cellar, and is not for sale. We do have the current releases of the IMT Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay available.)

On Friday, July 20th, from 1pm-6pm, we’ll be tasting a couple of new additions to our inventory:

2011 Barnard Griffin Fume Blanc, from the Columbia Valley of Washington State.

2008 Beni di Batasiolo Barbera d’Alba, from Piedmont, Italy. We have this On Special right now, and will do so until it is gone. Normally: $17.99/bottle, it has taken a “Step Down” in price to $9.99/bottle, while quantities last! (We’re calling this a “Step Down,” as the wine is located on the first set of steps, just inside the front door.) This isn’t our only item with a lower price tag, as we have several other specially-priced items around the store. We will strive to offer you such values in the future as well, so take a look around each time you come in to Wines Off Wynkoop, as these offers will change from time-to-time.

We hope you are staying cool in this hot weather, and wish you an enjoyable and relaxing weekend!

Wednesday Wine Sale:
On Wednesday, July 18th, all Imported Red Wine will be 15% off, when you buy 2-or more bottles of imported red wine for our “When You Buy 2 Wednesdays” Sale!

New Items:
After numerous requests, we are now stocking ginger beer! More specifically, we are carrying Cock ‘n Bull Ginger Beer in 4-packs.
Several new wine additions this week include the 2011 Barnard Griffin Fume Blanc, the 2011 Groth Sauvignon Blanc, the 2010 Hanna Sauvignon Blanc, and the 2009 Double O Cabernet Sauvignon.

Specials:
Firestone Walker Solace is on-special right now, regularly $9.99/6-pack, down to $8.99/6-pack. Smirnoff 1.75-liters of vodka are also on-sale for $24.99, regularly $29.99. The 2010 Il Campo Bianco is now at $7.99, down from $13.99!

From 1pm-6pm on Friday, July 13th, we’ll be tasting the 2011 Piantaferro Falanghina, from the Campania region of Italy (north of Naples), and the 2011 Chateau Des Chapelains Clairet, from Bordeaux, France. This wine is sort of a hybrid in the Bordeaux region, somewhere between a rose and a red, as it spends more time on the skins than a rose, but less time than a red. Some people prefer to drink it cold, while other like it best at room temperature, but either way, it’s a versatile wine for the warmer summer days. Wines will be discounted during the tasting as well!

We are also running a special right now on a couple of bottles of wine from Argentina. We have both the Las Lajas Malbec, as well as the Las Lajas Torrontes. We brought in the Malbec fairly recently and it’s been quite popular, so we thought we’d add the Torrontes to the line-up too. Individually, they are priced at $8.99/bottle, but if you buy at least 2-bottles of either one (feel free to mix-and-match), it brings the bottle cost down to $7.99/bottle! So, you can buy 2-bottles of Las Lajas Malbec, or 2-bottles of Las Lajas Torrontes, or 1-bottle of each to get the discounted pricing of $7.99/bottle. You can certainly buy more than 2-bottles of Las Lajas and the discount will apply. (This offer can not be combined with other discounts.)

We have added numerous selections to inventory this week, including the 2-wines that we’ll be tasting tomorrow. We’ve also added another French rose, a Sancerre, from the Loire Valley of France, a value-priced red blend from Montsant, Spain, and several others. In addition, we’ve also added a couple of new beer selections, including the Stone Smoked Vanilla Bean Porter, and Firestone Walker’s Wookey Jack (limited release), classified as a black ale, but for all intents and purposes, a black IPA. Definitely limited quantities on these 2-beers, so if you’re interested, don’t wait to pick yours up once these beers arrive on Friday!

Thank you for shopping at Wines Off Wynkoop, and please let us know how we can better serve you!

We’ll be tasting and discounting a couple white wines on Friday, July 6th, from 1pm-6pm for our FREE Friday Tasting.

Choices this time around include the 2009 Jean Dumont Muscadet de Sevre et Maine, from the Loire Valley of France (which pairs nicely with shellfish or oysters), as well as the 2007 Rocky Gully Dry Riesling from Western Australia (a nice crisp white to go with salads or glazed and grilled chicken). Tasting participants will receive a discount on these wines from 1pm-6pm.

We have had an overwhelming demand for ice, so we now stock 6-pound bags of ice for $1.99/bag.

We should have several new additions in the wine department arriving next week, so be on the lookout for those!
